Generally referred to as first degrees, Bachelor’s degrees are awarded after four years of full time study in Canada. They are analogous to “Licence Diplome” in francophone West Africa except that the most universities in North American will require four years Bachelor’s degree for admission into Master’s programs. Bachelor’s degree courses are offered in universities and some colleges. Bachelor’s degree graduates in Canada may apply for up to 3 years of work permit for Optional Practical Training.
